In 2015, we completed a purification project in a remote village, named Yongxing village, near San Du, Gui Zhou, China. In partnership with a Chinese company, Keyu Electrical Applicance Co. Ltd, we were able to help approximately 50 families gain water equal to the standards listed by the World Health Organization. The cost of the project totalled $10, 000 CAD. Purification tanks were installed in the villager's homes so that the tedious travel of five hours round trip to obtain clean water could be eliminated.
CACTES members visited the village personally before the project construction began. The villagers welcomed CACTES Association, sharing homegrown corn and rice.
